Это вызвано несовместимостью библиотек Spark и Arrow. В общем, каждый выпуск Spark поддерживает только узкий диапазон версий Arrow (в пределах второстепенного выпуска). Кроме того, существует некоторая несовместимость форматов между версиями Arrow.

Настройка совместимости для PyArrow> = 0.15.0 и Spark 2.3.x, 2.4.x

Начиная с Arrow 0.15.0, изменение двоичного формата IPC требует, чтобы переменная среды была совместима с предыдущими версиями Arrow ‹= 0.14.1. Это необходимо сделать только для пользователей PySpark с версиями 2.3.x и 2.4.x, которые вручную обновили PyArrow до 0.15.0. В conf / spark-env.sh можно добавить следующее, чтобы использовать устаревший формат Arrow IPC:

ARROW_PRE_0_15_IPC_FORMAT=1

Это проинструктирует PyArrow> = 0.15.0 использовать устаревший формат IPC со старой Arrow Java, которая находится в Spark 2.3.x и 2.4.x. Отсутствие установки этой переменной среды приведет к ошибке, аналогичной описанной в SPARK-29367, при запуске pandas_udfs или toPandas () с включенной стрелкой.
